The Linear House

The Linear House, a single-storey building located next to an olive grove by the lake in the Aegean Region, is positioned linearly on the land. The kitchen, which plays a unifying role in the plan scheme of the bedroom and the living room, transforms into a space that eliminates the perception of interior and exterior. This place aims to be a place that brings the users of the house together with its open plan solution.
The space, which is called Biophilic Kitchen, has a permeable façade, in visual and physical contact with the greenery and integrated with plain and natural materials, as it aims to resemble nature and absorb nature. Biophilic Kitchen, which imitates nature with its furniture with rounded lines and soft form transitions, at the same time confronts the culinary culture of modern life such as "food for dinner" and "fast food"; It tries to incorporate concepts such as conscious consumption and slow food into the lives of users.
Make it greener!
With its south-east facing facade, it receives the light that will help the greenery to grow. The vertical shelves of greenery at the end of the counter with the sink are a small and simple indication that planting is also possible indoors.
